A Phenomenological Study on the Career Construction of College Students During COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the college students¡¯ experience during COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on their career composition and meaning. A total of six participants were recruited from G university in J city, and each participant were interviewed twice. The interview data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research method. The analysis revealed: (a) 151 semantic units were derived: (b) 20 sub-components were grouped again: (c)and the final elements were divided into 8 categories. The findings highlight the essence of their experience as ¡°an opportunity for self-reflection and growth without recognizing COVID-19 as a career barrier.¡± Implications and limitations of this study are discussed.
